That last word took ages !

Tomorrow’s is another tricky one. I still think it isn’t a real word, as it feels like it’s spelled wrong.

Tomorrow’s Wordle, Today
I agree with @GuanoLad about this one. Is this really a word?

SMILE

FORGO

Sunday’s 316

Wordlebot berated me for using such an obscure word on the third try, but hey that’s all I could find at the time. I associate the word with Harry Potter. Anyway, it took Wordlebot four tries too…

Discussion on usage and spelling. Apparently two different words with different meanings.

316

The word didn’t seem that odd to me but it does look a little weird alone and not part of a sentence.

Good enough start, but still at least two choices for the guess on 3. Sometimes you guess right, sometimes you guess wrong.

And here I was hoping I had short circuited the _OUND (BFHMPRSW) trap by already confirming an R.

Yeesh, that is quite the trap! I don’t look forward to all those words showing up in the answer list…

It’s from the old comedy radio programme The Goon Show and was likely invented by its writer Spike Milligan.

Just noticed/realized that there is an ad for another game on the stat screen on Wordle. Someone even mentioned this before when it was first added, but it never really clicked for me.

I do remember that original mention was about how it was well-placed and subtle, compared to how bad it could have been. I heartily agree. Kudos to the New York times for showing such restraint.

I guess it’s technically an ad but I don’t have a problem with this type of “thanks for trying this game, how about you try one of our other games” ads.

20 minutes ago I realized I hadn’t done today’s Wordle yet. Almost a big oops. We we’re out of town, and today we drove 300 miles to return home.

And in less than 5 minutes tomorrow’s Wordle comes out.

A 4 today.

This one means to skip or do without something. Like, we’ll forgo the appetizer course. Forego means to go before, like, the foregoing example used the word forgo correctly.

Forgo vs forego — thanks for that explanation, @eschrodinger.

You might want to spoiler that.
