I really hope you are not in a “day ahead” time zone from the USA, else I just got spoiled for tomorrow’s word for 5/11 Wednesday. While you did blur out the word, you did not specify which puzzle number it is so we don’t unblur the word if it’s one we haven’t played yet.
TO ALL: Curious what everyone does if you get spoiled? Do you just take the 1, even though it’s not a legit win? Or do you skip that game and break your streak?
Note: I put the X’s in the quoted text above just to keep others from getting spoiled in case it is for tomorrow’s 5/11 game.
I edited it in the post for the same reason, so I’m “spoilered” for tomorrow, too, if it’s tomorrow’s puzzle.
If that’s the case, I’ll take the 1 (my first). I’m not breaking my streak because someone else made a mistake. It happens.
I didn’t unblur the word completely, but the semi-unblur that you get from a hover did not resemble the word that I got in puzzle 326. However, considering the odd way some people are getting different words sometimes, who can say really.

Yes, that was my thinking. I’m not a Game Room mod, but waiting might have spoiled the game for a whole lot of others following this thread, so I don’t think they’ll mind.

I’ve almost never used any starting word but… well, anyone who wants to know need only unblur the spoiler tags in my past posts. It’s going to be hard to start with something different tomorrow…

I’m really sorry, folks. I didn’t even think about putting in a date stamp. My mother and I compare Wordles and she got the same word as most of you today (5/10), so I was very confused as to what might have happened. if I did spoil it for anyone, I heartily apologize.
Doesn’t look like you did. Very strange where your word popped up from, so out of an abundance of caution, I made the edit. Thanks for being kind about it.
No worries! Turns out NYT also changed today’s word for 5/10. It was what you got, but it got changed to what everyone else in here and your mom got. Curious if you refreshed your browser after yesterday’s game? They said everyone had to do that in order to get the new word, so I wonder if you didn’t refresh the browser, that you’d get a different word again today.

I was spoiled once, totally by my own stupidity, so I took a 1 that day to preserve my streak. I fully ignore that 1; when I posted my stats for 100 games a few days ago, wordle had me listed at 101.
