Solved it in four and was thrown a bit because one letter is repeated.
I have been seeing this game all over Twitter and was wondering what it was. There is also an Android app called Wordle which I played a bit but that is different.

Took me a while (5 moves) because I thought I had eliminated the fourth letter when it showed up as green. Didn’t realize that that meant it was still a possible for the remaining gray blank.

That second one was a careless mistake; I didn’t realize till after I hit enter that I was putting a misplaced letter back in that same wrong place. I don’t know whether I’d have managed fewer than five if I’d done something else there, though. Like several others I wound up with a fifty/fifty choice on my next to last guess and guessed the wrong one.

I messed up today. Somehow my brain decided half way through to change the meaning of the color-blind mode high contrast color* for “right letter, wrong position”, so my first loss has the “absurd” pattern:

I think perhaps I was so certain before completing the third word that this was the correct placement of the three letters I’d gotten right that I ignored the game telling me I was wrong.
