In addition to today’s answer, the 4 words listed by WordleBot were:
CLOCK
CLOMP
CLOGS and
CLONK
I admit that like you, I got CLODS and not CLONK. So I guess it would be more accurate to say I got 4 additional answers, one of which WordleBot ignored (CLODS) and a inexplicable one that WordleBot considers to be a word but no one else in the world would use (CLONK).
I don’t use the list, so I have no idea which words Wordle considers “official.” I just knew I’d found 4 additional potential answers. Didn’t specifically check 'em till you asked which words they were.
I checked the answer list and the two words mentioned are NOT on the answer list. I understand that wordlebot was recently changed to include new words that people frequently enter, even though they aren’t on the answer list. I guess those two words are added words.
FYI… my spreadsheet has the column with the words hidden so I don’t see them. But, I can do a formula to see if the word is in the column.
Yesterday I almost got the perfect green pyramid except for one rogue yellow. Today I actually did it. What are the chances of that? In retrospect I think I prefer the aesthetics of yesterday’s, a bit like the imperfections in Islamic art. Given today’s word the irony is well placed.
Gambled for a 3, wound up with a 5. Like raiaiaiaian… Hey Terminus, is it ironic when WRONG is wrong?
SLANT
CHORE
WRONG
FROND
IRONY
After two guesses, I had it down to guesses 3-5 plus PRONG, which my third guess would have confirmed or eliminated. So if I was going to gamble, this seemed like as good a time as any. (I usually have the sense to play it safe. What was wrong with me this morning?)
