Perhaps my fastest run ever. Took about 30 seconds. Apparently this is only the 4th time I have done it in two.
Looks like three is the norm today.

WordleBot says the average today is 4.0, so at least I’ve got that. I’m average!
Four is my normal territory on any given day.
Mine, too.
Not so good today, alas.

FLOUT → Struck out on the start word
RAISE → One vowel in second character position. Maybe I should try a repeated A…
PARKA → No luck, but placed the R. Perhaps a double R - and try a Y?
MARRY → PARRY is already out, so it must be
CARRY
A fast five on this one - below par, but it was a nice, nonconventional challenge.

Really thought Acorn would be it, given the season. But alas, not to be. Carry it is then.
(I now realize it could have been Capri, as in the pants, but all I saw was Carry at the time).

SLANT => Could be sandy, sneak, or sonar. Maybe others?
SONAR => eliminates sandy, so…
SNEAK
I came up with three possibilities after my first guess, and my main worry was that there were more out there that I wasn’t seeing. Especially because there were a ton of proper nouns that would have fit: Saxon, Sudan, Sanka, Saran (wrap), (Carl) Sagan, (Lou) Saban, (Sam) Snead…I couldn’t believe I was finding all these, but could only identify three common nouns that fit. Very strange. So I was quite relieved when the solution was one of those three.
