APTLY → Not a bad start. Hunt for P position, along with a couple more vowels…
DOPEY → Still another vowel out there. I, U or a second E. Oh, and starts with P. Too sleepy, I’m off to bed. So, next afternoon, I open it up and I see… PINEY
I grew up in North Carolina, where this is most emphatically a word.
Dumb word. Who uses that word…ever? I mean, do people walk in the forest and say, “mmmm, smells nice and piney!” I don’t. That said, I have no idea why I didn’t check the E earlier on, so that’s on me. At least I didn’t fail though, so there’s that.
Clips narrowed it down so much that I started guessing for the answer immediately. Lucky opener gives an easy 3. (Lucky that I happened to check i, which only 4 of my 18 openers do.)
I’m not finding any of these on my list of past solutions. Which Wordles were they the solutions to? And if you’re looking at an online list, a link would be helpful.
There are lists on the internet with the word list and date. However, NYT has removed words. I removed the date and sorted it so I don’t know if they are past or future words.
I didn’t give any words. I was saying that the words and dates are available on the internet. It would take away the fun of the game for me if I used the words for solving a game.
You gave ten words. You said they were from “the answer list.”
And then you said this:
I’m open to an explanation other than that you shared ten words from an answer list that included both past and future solutions, and you don’t know which are which, but I can’t come up with that explanation on my own. That has to come from you.
