VOICE
TRONE
PROBE
A bit of luck today! I actually wanted to do a test word at three, but I couldn’t come up with one containing all the letters I wanted to check. So I went with with PROBE, for exactly the same reasons as @RTFirefly. Great minds think alike!
A 3 and I’m happy.

Obviously I’d eliminated PRONE, but there were still PROSE and PROBE. (I knew PROVE had already been used.) I later learned from WordleBot there was also PROLE, but I’d never have tried that one first. Lucky try with PROBE.

No three for me either.
In retrospect, I probably should have gotten it in three. I kept wanting to end with RT, but didn’t find anything. “CHORT? No, that’s not a word.” So close!
The double O was going to be either brilliant or stupid, and it was the latter.
Still, after a rough start, I wasn’t mad to save par today.
