Hey, I finally figured out how to copy my results.

BLURB
I figured I may be looking at a double letter word after two strike outs (except for the R in yellow), and almost went with Furry, but changed my mind as I then saw Curly and Burly…chose the best one to get the B in green! Then I was down to two choices, Blurb or Blurt, and totally forgot to check the previous answer list - I found out afterwards Blurt was already used, but happy I chose the right one in any case.
UNDEE PANTS? (I actually call my undies that sometimes)
Back to 4s.

Getting four letters at guess 1 should be a big advantage, but these particular four letters combine into a surprising number of words that haven’t yet been Wordle solutions. Took a long time!

BLURB
Wasted a lot of time looking for words starting with R that would fit, but finally tried U as an initial letter. At least that gave me the B.
ALTER → Only one good place left for the R… can I guess two vowels too?
GLORY → Placed the R, but no luck otherwise. Would try FLIRT but the T is gone. Something with a U?
SLURP → U is correct. Running out of consonants, though… oh, it’s a repeat…
BLURB
Not sure what happened to my yesterday post, but it was a 5, alas.

I didn’t even think of BLURB until I saw that BLURT wasn’t the solution. Yes, it’s a real word, but I feel about it the way that people felt about CHARD and PINEY: it wasn’t what I expected.

I don’t think past tense “…ed” verbs are in the answer list, but I didn’t see any other reasonable option. Matey? Seriously? Not in love with the editing.

MATEY
What kind of word is that? Slang? It was the only possibility after MEATY failed.
The only context I know is a pirate saying “Ahoy, matey!”

Is today “talk like a pirate day” or something?? If not, they could have at least saved it for that.
After SLANT and CHORE gave me the A,E, and T (and crossed out a bunch of popular consonants), I thought of MATEY pretty quickly, but went “nah…” and kept looking. So when I came across TWEAK, I jumped on it - just a perfect Wordle word, right? Not this time. Took me awhile longer to beat the bushes, give up, and try MATEY.
Can’t forget “Arrr, matey!” but same difference. Sheesh.
