Tricky one! I had several words to choose from but tried moose.
No, because he’d seen the E.

Yes, that too! But with my guess #3 that would become apparent.
No, because he’d seen the E.
Ah.
Yes, that too! But with my guess #3 that would become apparent.
No it couldn’t ! You already had the E !

MOOSE
Lucky second word.
I ran this through Scoredle and they said there were 1,351 second-word choices for me.
Also cool: this is the first one that I saw Scoredle lose.
“What would Scoredle do?
SLATE->POSSE->WORSE->HOUSE->NOOSE->GOOSE”
Guessing the answer from two days ago didn’t do scoredle any favors.
What is scoredle, by the way?
I’m a consonants-first guy myself, but if you prefer a vowel-heavy starting word, I think yours (which I’d never heard of before, but if Wordle accepts it as a guess, that’s all that matters!) is a much stronger choice than the oft-recommended ADIEU.
It’s a handy tool for evaluating your game play.
How'd you do in Wordle today?
After you finish Wordle, you put the word and your guesses into Scoredle and it will tell you which words remain at each guess, as well as telling you what its own algorithm would have chosen. Give it a shot with your Wordle from today.
And I just discovered that they provide an enhanced Share option that I will be using from now on.

MOOSE
POLKA → One hit is not a bad start. Common consonants, anyone?
ROIST → Got the S. Any more vowels? E, U & Y are still out there, I can get two of 'em…
MOUSY → I’m pretty sure it’s not an H or C on the end, which leaves us with an E (deferred to the 4th guess? I’m slipping) so it’s time for a double letter…
MOOSE
Here’s hoping tomorrow is FIRED and Friday is LLAMA…

THOSE
MOOSE - first two words eliminated ‘loose’, ‘noose’ or ‘chose’ and I was just lucky not to pick ‘goose’. My Alaskan past, I guess.
Give it a shot with your Wordle from today.
I checked it out. I have a very good vocabulary, but that site listed two words I’ve never heard of as possible solutions. I could understand that I might not recognize one of them, but both is highly unlikely.
I believe that those are the real words that Wordle would accept as options, whether or not I think they are bogus. When there are dozens of options, half of them are usually weird opaque things, to me at least.
Anyway, it’s nice to be able to see the list of options for those times when I spent a half hour staring at an entry before finally figuring out a word.
And I just discovered that they provide an enhanced Share option that I will be using from now on.
Ooh, I like that!

MOOSE
After LOUSE, I ran through the keyboard and convinced myself it could only be HORSE. Completely missed the double O possibility. [headsmack emoji]
I figured NOOSE wouldn’t be a solution, but guessed wrong between the other two options.

Hey, a win’s a win.
I, too, had a lucky 2nd word today.
Wordle 620 3/6*
IRATE
SMOKE
MOOSE
There was no other word after my 2nd try. I didn’t even need WordleBot to tell me that.
Lemme try this:

Looks different from what you guys have, but close enough!
ETA: OK, now it’s looking the same. In the preview, it still looks the way it does on the Scoredle website.
Wordle 5/6
I’ve been using Wordle Analyzer. I’ll have to check out Scordle. Interestingly, the AI at Wordle Analyzer did not lose today. It got a 5/6.
ETA:. I have used Scordle before. I like the share product from Scordle better in terms of what is displayed here, but WA gives a link to the full analysis too.
