After two, I strongly suspected the terminal Y. If I’d given it more thought, WINDY would have been a better third guess. Then again, DINGY would have been even better, which would have led me to a par anyway. Guess I’ll take it.

VENOM → Looks like a two-vowel setup, but for some reason I’m jonesing for common consonants here…
RUNTS → Nothing doing. What’s next? Maybe a terminal Y for something adverb-ish, and try that I?
DINGY → So, ?INDY, unless they’re talking about a swing dance it’s gotta be…

Bingy was an accident. I was just typing in letters to see if something would come to me. Then when I went to delete the letters I accidentally hit return instead of backspace, and apparently bingy is a word. Again I blame quordle for having the backspace and enter keys on opposite sides as wordle.
Didn’t affect my score any; I wasn’t thinking _INDY at all. It’s highly likely I would have actually guessed dingy for the same result.

Bumbled with my start words…I played the A twice in 3rd spot (meant to go with Store + Chain), but it didn’t matter thankfully…still would have got this in 4.
You can fix that. 
When you pull up the Quordle game, click or tap the three dots in upper right, then go to Settings, and toggle on the “Switch Keys”.
