DISCO → Not a bad start. Time for a typical “second guess”
ROUST → Picked up the T, still haven’t placed anything… Another vowel?
STONY → Terminal S… don’t see any PT words, and either OT??S or ?T?OS, and we gotta start with a vowel, throw in an H and get
ETHOS

I was avoiding a terminal S because, you know, Wordle and regular plurals. Using E instead of Y on my third guess might have been a plus, but obviously woudn’t have changed anything.
