After my first word, I saw Nurse, Dense, Rinse, Bonus, and Bosun, but I completely overlooked Risen and Resin. Main thing was I didn’t go with my usual second word, CHORE, because I wasn’t seeing where a C or H was going to fit. I figured RINSE might be the solution, and if not, it would check R,E,I (what, am I looking for outdoor gear? ) and distinguish between the other known possibilities.

Anyhow, it worked out.

RESIN - Beat the 'bot, which said it would have gone with ‘risen’.

Early on with Wordle, I too would overlook possible solutions. So I’ve been using a jumble solver like Jumble Solver - Helps you solve jumble word puzzle.

Thanks for the tip, but for me, part of the challenge of the game is to see how good I am at coming up with possible solutions without any such apps or online aids. (Though I will use a dead-trees dictionary in situations where that’s helpful.)

We’re all playing this game in our own ways, and since games are supposed to be fun, we should all play this one however it works for each of us, so this isn’t in any way a criticism of you or anyone else who does use such aids.

On the flip side, I maintain a list of past solutions, recording each day’s solution (and my score  ) into an Excel spreadsheet, and I refer back to it to avoid guessing a solution that’s already been used. Some people here prefer to rely on memory alone with respect to past solutions. Again, no right way and no wrong way.
