TOPIC → Kinda slow start. Try three comcons and an E to go with that O, and put the E on the end, so
SNORE → Good! A little trappish, but good. Need to try an L, then get some luck
WHOLE → Hit on the L, should place it second… GLOVE? or GLOBE? I’ll go with what I saw first
GLOVE → Should have trusted the B
GLOBE
I’m also in the “one found letter with each guess” club today.
Bah. Reflects my mood today.

I saw a lot of words after my start word, and I decided to come up with a sleuth word that’d hit several of them…and wouldn’t ya know, it eliminated all but one.
I see now that Choir, my usual 2nd word, would have done the same, but I didn’t know that at the time of course.
Yeah, I was starting to think the editor forgot the B existed. ![]()
I had a good game today.

I remembered that BLOKE and GLOVE had already been used, so GLOBE it was for the third try. I guess there were 5 other possibles, but I didn’t see 'em.

CRIME
GLOBE
After 2, had it down to FLUKE, GLOBE, and possibly PLEBE. Went with GLOBE rather than FLUKE because it would eliminate one of the other two.
Also, this is the second time I’ve used CRIME rather than CHORE as my second word because H didn’t look to be part of any solutions. It’s done worse than CHORE both times in narrowing things down, because I rather than O. But I just checked and it turns out CROME is a word. So I’ll use that the next time the H would be wasted.
ETA: In my last 100 games, I’ve used a total of 329 words, for an average of (duh) 3.29 words per game.

GLOBE → Always cool to get a rarer letter from the carryover. With two vowels down, I can try just one here - maybe an A? - and two comcons, so try
BOAST → If the O is on the end - BANCO? Or BAYOU, but I remember that one from before. Oh, but mix them together and that could be

Despite being on my second cup of coffee, my brain was not fully engaged here.
I doubled up on the N to find where it went - not a terrible idea, but putting the O back where I knew it didn’t go was. ![]()
Only then did I realize I hadn’t tried an A yet. Jeez. Somehow amid all this fumbling, I accidentally narrowed it down to only the correct solution and saved par. I take no credit for this.
