BROTH
Logically, I should’ve thought of ‘broth’ LONG before ‘wroth’, but I figured the middle three had to be ROT and when I was trying to find a word that fit that I got Invictus in my head somehow.

BROTH
After 2, the solution had to be a -ROTH word, and FROTH had been used, leaving BROTH, TROTH, and WROTH. The latter two are more obscure than they used to be, so I went with BROTH.

MERGE → Slow start. Need to hunt for some vowels, so two more comcons means my second guess word of
ROAST → Really should try something with L or N, but I also like to try a TH- word. For a second I thought about THROB, but saw I’d already checked the R in the middle, so rearranged it to spell
BROTH
I feel really lucky on this one. Scoredle takes all six guesses to solve from my start, and I had at least eight valid possibles with the third guess (including TROCK, go figure).

RAISE
TURBO
BROTH
I made a good (i.e. lucky) choice on the second word. I wanted O, U, and at least one more comcon. I came up with GROUT, MOURN, and TURBO.
GROUT would have left me with 15 possible words, and MOURN with 53. But hitting that B in TURBO narrowed my choices to just one. I was due for a little luck!
