OVERT → Hey, that’s a pretty good start. I think I’ll focus on consonants next; I tried to find a word with both S & T but could only see one with one of them, so
THORN → and that worked well. T pretty much has to go before the R, then move O to the end and I should try an N because I’m really seeing
NITRO → but I should have looked again and swapped the first two letters.

So close to a 3. Scoredle matches my second guess, but makes the right move on the third. Still, happy with a par.
