Much more time-consuming than it should have been, considering I had 3 letters by step 2. (I got stuck looking for _ _IOL words and such.) One of those days, I guess.

The elusive L resisted placement. I felt good about would, but alas.

LOGIC
Grrr! I know that a 3 is a respectable score today (WordleBot says that the average is 3.7) but I’m very annoyed that I second-guessed myself out of a 2.
LOGIC was the 1st word I thought of that had an L and 2 vowels that weren’t A and E, but I thought I should try OILER first, as a sleuth word with the more common R.

This was super difficult, to the point I started wondering if I was actually going to solve it. After 2 I immediately saw a cigar, but that’s already been an answer. Couldn’t see anything else so left it to come back later. When I came back I struggled but finally saw croak, but again that’s already been an answer. Couldn’t see anything else so left again to come back later.
This, my third effort, started to feel fruitless because I just didn’t see anything. Eventually I saw circa, but I spent way too much time on this puzzle. All told probably over an hour, not counting time in between.

This was a total slog, and I should have gotten it in 4. I made a dumb play with Rural…knew there weren’t two R’s. Also, I had Circa on my list, but I was so sure it was already used that I passed it on by…turns out, it was used in the Quordle Sequence game the other day - that’s the problem with playing all of these word games - lol.
The “tricksy” words are a little overboard this month. I’ve lucked out and gotten 3’s on some of them, but I still find it annoying.
