After my starting word, it was down to SCENT, SHUNT, STINT, and STUNT; SPENT had already been used. Went with STUNT on 2 because if the U came up green, it was SHUNT; if the T in the second spot came up green, it was STINT, if neither came up green, it was SCENT, and if both came up green, I’d have had a 2. So 1/4 shot at the 2, and a guaranteed 3.

TERSE → Three unsorted after one guess, and no second (or terminal E). I came close to trying SLATE or STALE here until I realized that terminal E meant neither were the case, but I could anagram either into
STEAL → Two letters placed is cool, N is still out there, which pointed to S?ENT, and I went with the first word I saw
SPENT → Should have gone with the second

At least Scoredle tries the last two guesses in the same order as I did, even doing so when it makes its own second guess.

OK, I’m missing something here. Where did SHENT come into this?
The_Other _Waldo_Pepper had it among his guesses, just before your post. You listed the possible answers when discussing your strategy, and SHENT wasn’t among them. I figured T_O_W_P must’ve gotten that word from an anagram generator.
OK, I get it now. I don’t know how others are, but since our guesses are all spoilered, I often don’t click on everyone’s to see them, so I really didn’t know what you were talking about.
As far as anagram generators go, we aren’t competing against each other here, so we all use or don’t use assorted aids as we see fit. It’s a game, and people play it in the way that brings them the most enjoyment.
