I see story and storm. What was the third option?
I was thinking STORK even though I just used it.

Could’ve also been STORK; STORY had been used; CHORE eliminated E so STORE was out.

Probably should have put more WoFcons out there at two. But I’ll take the par.

READY
HOURI (vowel hunt!)
STORK (OR is definitely a trap, but S is most likely to get me out of it)
STORM (only possibility left)
I forgot to play yesterday! I was so busy at work, and totally forgot about it after running errands, cooking dinner, etc.

STORM
I almost put STORK! Total luck here.
(I immediately checked the used word list before playing. I know my starting word will give me a 1 some day!)

Wordle 1,155 3/6* 8/17/2024

BRACE → No A or E, better try I & O (and two WoFcons) - one of my favorite second guesses, haven’t used it lately
ROIST → Well. Still a lot of possibilities, but I think I’ll try those letters as the first four - STOR? is the only thing I’m getting, now that I’ve tried it - K, M, Y, I think I’m safe, which one to try first?
STORM
Twice in a row I’ve gotten it first try on a 3-trap. Also like yesterday, Scoredle takes a bogey on the 3-trap. But that’s better than it did on its own; Scoredle’s regular algorithm takes 6 from the starting work of SLATE - there are a lot of traps from that start, it turns out.

Not enough coffee this morning. LAPIN? At least it got me the N. But there were really only two likely answers after two: LANKY and LAUGH. Had I thought harder I would have realized that. I may or may not have won a coin toss, but I wouldn’t have wasted a guess on an unlikely word.

STORM → Strikeout. E & A and at least two remaining WoFcons, please
PLEAT → Should I have trusted the B? Hard to say. I think I & Y are merited here, plus that N - I’d like to try INLAY, but that’s already precluded, so maybe if I reverse the syllables?
LAYIN → Good guess. Very close.
LANKY
Scoredle kicks on this one - from empty on the first guess to finishing in 3. On the whole, though, I’m happy with this 4 - the third guess ended up pretty lucky.
