FROWN β I like a WR start. Throw in a T & E, andβ¦ WREST? or WRITE? WRACK? Donβt see anything with WRU??, so I"ll try
WRITE β Nice. Itβs got one too many Cs for around here, but I"ll try
WRECK β Ah, the homophone.
WREAK
And Scoredle follows the exact same pattern. I do kinda like it when my choices are validated by the algorithm.

Bah. A good start, only to fall deeply into the trap. The terminal K escaped my notice at first, but Iβm not sure if it would have made much difference.

WREAK β Slow start. I would normally want to go O here with three WoFcons, but the I really asserted itself, so
STAIN β I thought about how to make this one work, since SANO? goes nowhere, so the O is pretty much out. Then one word occurred to me which did the Scoredle repeat-letter trick, so I tried
SAUNA β which meant I had SAN?? with no vowels left but the Y, so a moment staring at the board led to
SANDY
It was nice to have a short one to start today as it promises to be busy. Scoredle employs its repeat-letter trick not once but twice; it actually has a trap of four letters after its fouth guess and makes a 1-in-4 guess to finish with a bogey. (Naturally, it does a lot better from its own start.)
