BAWDY → Whiff. Time for a good first guess second.
SOLER → And… that wasn’t it. Well, only two vowels left, and two WoFcons, so…
INPUT → Now that is a little more like it. I played around with these letters for five minutes, first to verify that NUTTI and TUNNI weren’t Wordle-approved, and I had no repeats, then to try and find some consonant that would fit. I hit enter on the compound word
CUTIN → and immediately saw that I should have waited a bit more.
TUNIC
I suppose I shouldn’t be too ticked about a bogey after a start like that one, but STORE would have been a much better second guess, meeting my usual criteria. Scoredle guesses an anagram of it, and finishes with par. To add insult to injury, Scoredle starts guessing the answer after my second guess, so it would have birdied after my first two guesses.

This one really stumped me I went through all the letters a few times and even resorted to cheating using an anagram finder without finding a word that fit. I finally got it on my own. I had thought of ending in two vowels but not starting that way.

TUNIC → Whiff. Good first guess second time, with A & E
RALES → Hmmm. This looks like a birdie opportunity. I enumerated darn near every word I could think of here, and a few words I couldn’t think of, but the only one I thought might be anywhere near Wordle-shaped was
LASED → whcih wasn’t it, of course, but led me directly to the fact that I hadn’t thought of repeats for the vowels…
EASEL
Scoredle, smugly (in my imagination) gets it in three, as I should have. Continuing the golf analogy, a lousy tee shot leads to a great iron shot to the green, only to miss a near-gimme to settle for par.
