The lucky 3s keep coming! It could have been PRONG or FROND (which I saw), or IRONY (which I didn’t). But I got the WRONG answer, rather than getting the wrong answer. Sometimes WRONG is right.

WRONG
This was disappointing. After plant I couldn’t follow up with a perfect word, which would have included the letters in snore. Closest I would could get was crone and reins. I chose…poorly.
I was sure this was going to be a three, but at least I made an emoji face.

I was thisclose to a third consecutive two. Saw WRONG immediately and almost dropped it in, but I made myself slow down and think about it some more. That worked for me yesterday, but cost me a guess today. I’ll always be happy with a three, though!
I’m taking a 4 today. It was a fair puzzle.

Picture a grizzled Clint Eastwood type, indifferent to the cold rain — just staring off into the distance while standing guard, with only his trusty rifle by his side — only, y’know, one day late.

None of these words seemed like valid answers to me so I just went in order of how much I liked the vowels. Not an auspicious beginning to this set of 100 games with three consecutive 4s.
