I’m not seeing anything that would fit. Does it only count valid answers? I feel like it’s referencing exotic words that are only in the guess list, not the answer list.

WordleBot advised that EMERY was one of the words, which I never thought of. I never did figure out what the third one was supposed to be!

A 4 isn’t bad though. :slight_smile: I’d have gone with that over the answer word too, but thankfully I hit the V in Fever, and also then knowing the E was 1st and 3rd, I wasn’t faced with three choices with Emery, Elegy and the answer word.

Actually, elegy doesn’t have an R. It really is hard to do other people’s puzzles!

Now fixated, I added a quickie check to my program to answer this mystery. Interestingly, EMERY is not in the answer list. (I may or may not run it again on the guess list.)

There are exactly two answers that fit: EVERY, of course. And the other is…CLERK.

I just am too curious and had to check what Scoredle says - lol. After Heron, it said there were 4 choices: Every, Emery, Emerg, and Clerk. Really doubt Emerg would ever be an answer, so it was probably Clerk.
