COMFY → That F is nice. I’ll concentrate on vowels first, rather than the WoFcons.
AFOUL → Placing the F is nice; otherwise, this is practically a whiff. I can cover E, T and N though, with a word that would have been better as the second guess had I been thinking

The first word leaves an even 100 possibiles, per Scoredle, so I do kinda feel like I could have done better. Scoredle itself doubles up on the known O with FLOOR which leaves the answer as the only nonbogus possible remaining. Great play by the algorithm!
