I did not like FIORD as a guess, but I was at a loss. I thought I’d covered all the RI_ID possibilities, but obviously missed the one valid word.

STANE → Double whiff! R is left of the WoFcons. Don’t see a word with both O and I, so I’ll try one with an O and see what that gets me
FROCK → OK, it’s an I. At least one I. Can’t see a word with just one I in it, so perhaps two Is. RI?I?, ah, could be

Chip in to save par. Scordle ends up bogeying due to preferring BIDRI over the answer on the fourth guess. What’s up with that? I guess it was better at differentiating between the other two valid possibles?

RIGID → About the best I could hope for. Time for a good first word second… perhaps
STARE → I did stare at this for a little bit, but didn’t see STORY. Instead, I saw two words, and picked the wrong one next

On the one hand, I missed a birdie. On the other, I missed a bogey. Scoredle got the birdie call right, when applied to my second guess, but its second guess sends it down a rabbit hole, where it emerges with a bogey, despite our second guesses being anagrams. Can be a random game sometimes.
