TRIAL → It’s starting to come together. With the I not in the middle, I’m a bit worried about a second vowel. I don’t think RITTY is a word, but I would like to try the Y, so

Tried ACORN at 2 without even considering whether it had been used before (turns out it had), just looking for a word to narrow down where the A and N were, and use some of the Speedwagon letters (R,E,O 
). Don’t know if it’s an ideal choice, but I struck gold this time with the green A, which narrowed the possibilities way down.

LEANS → Pretty productive. But now where do they go? ?ANE? but no R means maybe terminal D, but that’s usually not a Wordle word. Though I can exercise a D at the start by moving E to the end, so
DANCE → Placed the N. But now where do the vowels go? Toyed around with this for a while until I saw how to put the E next-to-last with
