DIGHT → T is placed. I pretty much has to be in the middle. R is still out there to use after the D; DRI?T gives us

I would have been a better letter to focus on for the third guess, in the event. It might have helped me match pars with Scoredle, which used an elegant word to place the one letter known after the first word.
