GNOME → So, perhaps an I? I should have tried INDIE but first I saw
INNIE → So the I must be in the middle. Looking at what’s left to go before the N, it’s gotta be a K, and the last letter just falls into place

I was really nervous there for a while, but I was relieved when I saw I was running out of letters to go at the start. Scoredle has nothing but the starting lettter for the first three guesses, placing it on the third, but eliminates enough to also finish with a bogey.

Lucky, lucky, lucky! True, all 2s are lucky in different ways. But I could see more than a dozen unused possibilities after my starting word, and my choice at 2 was just the one that gave me the best chance of getting a 3. Didn’t expect it to turn green. 
This is my 1331st game. 1331 is a cool number. It’s 11 cubed, and its digits make up the 3rd row of Pascal’s Triangle.
