I’m here to take the pressure off @Chefguy, turning a relatively easy word into a mess of a bogey… including a dumb mistake at three, putting the T back where it didn’t belong.
Congrats on all the ones and twos today!
Got my third 1/6 today. Now have to think of a new starting word. Just bragging

I don’t have the energy for a blow-by-blow description right now. But I should have chosen REVUE over VENUE on guess three.

A nice recovery from yesterday’s debacle.
STARE → Two vowels and two WoFcons - gone. Two more vowels and two more WoFcons to go with my one yellow gets me
LONER → E pretty much has to be in second now, in which case I need another vowel - U or Y? If it’s U, I could see
LEMUR
Scoredle, not having my WoFcon obsession, makes the wrong guess on a 50/50 for birdie, because it tried doubling up on the known letter from the first guess. On the other hand, had it been anything other than the actual answer, I’d have been screwed because the answer was the only valid word after my second guess, meaning my second guess probably left some large “bins” of words that I might have had to sort through if today’s solution had been different.

Solved this early this morning, but got distracted before I could post. Anyway: after 2, I came up with a list of 17 possible solutions, and only 5 of them turned out to have been used. And none of the remaining 12 did a particularly good job of narrowing things down, but GIMPY did, so I went with that on 3 to get a sure 4.
