DEBUT and TEMPT were Scoredle’s 1-2 possibles after my second guess, and there were two more valid ones, so today was definitely lucky - I’d have probably ranked my solution lowest of the five if I had seen the other four. Scoredle has a lot less luck and sees a lot more possibles, ending with a tap-in bogey.

I was safe after the third guess, but could have easily gone the distance. My second guess was less than skillful, only paring things down to over 2800 possibles, though my third was 8/39 and left me with seven, four valids. Scoredle’s second guess beats mine by a nose, but then falls into the trap having not eliminated enough consonants, so it ends up with a bogey. Tough luck for the algorithm.
