BEFIT → Slow start. I first thought of SLAIN as a followup, but that would repeat the I placement, so moved to R over N with
LIARS → Is the I the only vowel, all by itself in the middle? I thought about ??IRN words, but couldn’t think of any, so perhaps
CHIRP → No help there. ???RI goes nowhere, so initial I? Lotta vowels still out there; when I try to mix in a terminal Y or an O I end up with a word that uses both
IVORY
A 99.44% pure solution. Scoredle liked my third guess, 1/19, so that felt good to see, and even my followup was 79/1223. Scoredle also pars, doing it mostly by eliminations - just one yellow on each guess until the solution.

ENTRY
CHIAO
IVORY
Quite a stroke of luck getting the -RY right off the bat. But still a bit trappish, so I went trolling for vowels; those were not the two I expected. Only one word left!
(I was surprised Wordle accepted CHIAO, thinking it was a misspelling of CIAO. It’s actually a Chinese unit of currency.)

I didn’t think “afoot” would be a valid wordle word. Huh wordlebot says adobo is on its list, too.

IVORY → That’s an interesting start. I can follow up with three WoFcons and a E with
STOLE → I thought about how to shoehorn an A after the O, but then decided on
PHOTO → and here I hit a brick wall. It didn’t get much better after a night’s sleep. Then I browsed another thread here on the Dope, came back to the puzzle and hit hit me
AFOOT
My followup and third guesses were both third on Scoredle’s lists - 3/577, then 3/23. The par putt was a tap-in, though it took me a long time to figure it out. On its own, Scoredle kinda takes a wrong turn - it adds no letters to what is known from its followup and third guesses, then picks up a single green letter with each of its next two guesses, leaving it with a tap-in double bogey.
