Another puzzle that went nowhere for a long time and then just fell into place. The followup I did was pretty lousy - not in the top 120, and so bad that Scoredle’s recommendation for the third guess was the same as its followup recommendation. At least my fourth guess was 3/26 and left me with a valid tap-in. If I had followed my anagram with the followup, it might have gone even worse for me - the remaining valid words are practically miles apart lexically. Scoredle also bogeys the puzzle, making no progress save for eliminations with its par attempt but leaving only a tap-in of its own.

From yesterday:

Never even heard of that word. Looking it up,

Chyle: Chyle is a milky-white bodily fluid consisting of lymph and emulsified fats (chylomicrons) formed in the small intestine during digestion. It transports dietary fats and fat-soluble vitamins from the intestines to the blood system via the lymphatic system. It is distinct from chyme, which is the semi-fluid food mass leaving the stomach.

Sounds nasty. I’m not a doctor, so no wonder I’d never heard of chyle. Or chyme.

NEARS → a bogus word, and SNEER might have done better to place the E (though not in the event), but now I have just T left of the WoFcons and A eliminated, so I’ll try T & O and another random consonant for

BEING → which points us straight to
BEGUN

There were three words, all valid, left after my third guess, and I had a 1-in-3 shot at the par, but it was not to be. That third guess, though a mediocre 16/53 per Scoredle, ended up darn near ideal in the event - and more productive than my followup, which was not in the top 120 amid a flood of bogus words with a terminal S. Scoredle uses its elimination powers of its followup and third guess to make par on a 50-50 putt with a different vowel in question.

@JohnT - an abbreviation of “Wheel of Fortune consonant”, the RSTLN sequence that the show gives you on the final puzzle (plus an E) that are high on the frequency-sorted list of letters in English.
