WoFcon obsession avoids trap, fortunately - it could have gone another way if it had been a different solution word out of that trap. Scoredle liked my second and third guesses - 76/1912 and 1/24 respectively, and I missed its pick for fourth by one letter. Scoredle falls into the trap on its fourth guess, then makes a miracle 1-in-5 save for a bogey of its own, at a point where the odds favored a loss.

Scoredle loved my followup - 1/270, but the third guess, as good as it turned out to be, was only third among valids and 5/21 overall. Still, it set up a 50-50 for par. Scoredle’s variant for its third guess leaves it with the same 50-50 as mine, and it also sinks it for par.
