INDIE → Middle D on the initial guess is nice. But I couldn’t figure out how to get a word with A & O both. So I went with two vowels and filled in what else I could
PUDGY → And now I’m worried about double D there, before the Y. With A still out there, I figured it was time to swing for the fences
DADDY → The A was right, the Ds were wrong. I think the only thing that can go fourth is an L, and it looks like a 3-trap so I’ll try alphabetical order

If I had remembered DADDY was already a solution, I might have skipped that step and gone straight on into the trap, thus making par. Scoredle falls into the same trap one earlier than me, but it has worse luck with its guesses and also takes the bogey.
