WHEAT → I was all ready for a whiff when the last letter came up yellow. WoFcons plus O & I, here we come
TOILS → A little progress. I’ll try double-O over a U, because I can’t see much coming from T?OU?
TROOP → Couldn’t get it through my thick head here that the O must be at the end, obvi. So I played around with U and R and eventually settled on something with my last WoFcon

Scoredle points out, smugly ISTM, that in fact there was but one word left for me after three. Maybe I should have hit the sack then and I might have seen it this morning. Scoredle on its own makes almost the same guesses as me - one letter different on its second guess - but naturally doesn’t blow the par putt.
