Nicely done… it totally stumped me (noit that that’s unusual…)

So, two words, spelt the same way, totally different meanings and pronounciations, only thing that changes is one is capitalised)

Any guesses?

Colon - city in Panama (stress on second syllable).
colon - malodorous portion of anatomy?

polish (varnish) - Polish (nationality)?

lima - a kind of bean
Lima - a Peruvian city

Basil – Actor Rathbone
basil – Pesto herb

This was my first thought. I then came up with:

Reading – a city in Pennsylvania (pronounced “redding”)
reading – perusing

Wow! You are all right, although the pronounciation doesn’t change much or at all on some of them, regardless of pronounciation.

I was thinking Polish/polish, btw
