Why wouldn’t you assume there is likely a locator device in that laptop? These people must have had some help setting stuff up, I’m thinking. Doesn’t it seem probable someone considered this possibility and made some preparation?
It seems likely to me. I think that’s what she was referencing with ‘not going to take this lying down’ !
