Working for Capital one as a relationship manager, anyone have experience?

I have an interview with them soon and I was wondering if anyone on this site knows anything about the position.

Specifically, I’m curious about the salaries and how the incentive plan is for the relationship manager role.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

What kind of relationship manager role? That could mean a lot of different jobs. It just means you are the primary point of contact for a book of business. Capital One does a lot of different things such as retail branch banking, commercial banking, investment banking. You need to be more specific. You need to narrow it down some.

Reported for forum change.

Thanks for the reply, its for their retail branch location. I’m currently a Personal Banker for Citibank, so I know the roles are going to be alike. I just want to know how Capitalone pays out on comission.

Make sure you don’t misspell Capital One on your application materials.

Moved from GQ to IMHO.

Public salary information is sparse and very uneven; for instance, online salary websites (glassdoor.com, careerbliss.com, etc.) indicate that the salary (in 2012 dollars) could be anywhere from $60,000 to $90,000 or more depending on location and experience. Comments from employees indicate that Capital One is a good place to work, but not particular high-paying. Much of the information I found dates back before the recession, and may not be applicable to the current environment.

Thanks, I’m finding the same info, was hoping someone on SS would have some inside info.

And pardon the spelling, I’m browsing from work and tryping as fast as I can while hiding the window lol…
