working in tall buildings

My friend over on 103 at 1 WTC doesn’t like it. Primarily because it takes freaking forever to get in and out of the building (IIRC 3 elevator trips, including one “local”). Forget cigarette breaks. Secondarily because every time some bonehead tries to blow up the place (once and counting), it’s a very long walk down.

I will just say that I have such a fear of heights that I couldn’t bear to watch other people walk near the edge of the grand canyon. But being high in a tall building, even looking down behind the high railing from the top of the empire state building didn’t bother me one bit. Neither does being in an airplane and looking out the window.

Zombie, zimbie, or not, go back to the first posts in this thread, posted pre-9/11, and read them now, post-9/11.

Yeah, I didn’t even notice that it was a zombie until the poster mentioned the friend currently working at the WTC. Anybody know if that friend survived?
