Working with Luan

I work with Luan a lot. I used a box cutter to cut it. I’d like to use some sort of “power” tool but which one?

Dremel makes some small cutters. Either their rotary, multi-max or saw max may do it or it may tear the Luan to splinters.

Any suggestions on what to use on Luan, other than a box knife?

I used to cut it all the time with jig saws, circ saws and sawzalls. If we cared about how it looked, we just painters taped along the cut before we sawed and it was fine.
