Technically you can see the gulf in quality between these two and Russia v SA yesterday.
That doesn’t necessarily translate into a free-flowing goalfest but at least I’m not checking to see if I’m watching two sunday-league pub teams.
If I’m Egypt manager my gamble of holding Walsh out of this match is paying off. Their WC rests on their next match v Russia. Egypt looks damb good.

A bit disappointed in Uruguay and surprised at Egypt. Pretty sure that both teams that come out of this group will go out in the first knockout round.
I’m not sure about Portugual and if Egypt manages to qualify for the next round they will be hungry and unpredictable. I wouldn’t coubtvthem out quite yet.

I agree but Uruguay has been disappointing today. Had Salah played the result could be different.
I know no one has any expectation for Iran v Morocco but it could be a great match. One team has to win this match to have a chance in this group.
