Croatia has ended up in extra time in all of its elimination games.
Can’t really argue with 1:1. England should’ve had a couple in the first half, Croatia a couple in the second.
God I hate extra time.
I’ll tell you who is happy; France. Deschamps is probably writing his victory parade speech right now.

Honestly, given the quality displayed by both sides, France will beat either of these teams comfortably I think.
That’s without considering 3 120 minute games for Croatia.
At least its not the Iceland game.
I poured myself a silly amount of Talisker 10 year after the first “half hour” post of mine. I’ve finished it and am now wondering how much more I can reasonably drink, given I have to go into work tomorrow.

Well, I have good memories of the Iceland fans. Not so much the England performance as there wasn’t one. This is much better.

Well this is sad to see.
Fair play. Croatia were better than us for the second half and extra time. They had the balance of the game and deserve to go through. Can’t think of many shots on target we even had after that Kane miss in the first half. Might well be zero.
Still, that first half. The Kane miss is probably crucial. 2-0 might have been defendable.
France must be heavy, heavy favourites in the final.
Ok, so hanging, the chair or the firing squad?
That’s game. I don’t know much about soccer, or how to measure the ebbs and flows, but it sure seemed, to me, that Croatia was EVERYWHERE. Granted, I started watching just before the end of regulation. It always looked like Croatia had even numbers when attacking, and even on the rare reversal by England, there was just a sea of black they had to get through to even see the goal.
I was looking forward to a 100 Minutes War, but I guess my wish wasn’t granted. I don’t think this lamp is actually magic…
