Probably a very naive question, but I woke up wondering, so I’ll ask while still soporifically unselfconscious:
Are any accomodations made during the World Cup for teams from countries who strictly observe Sabbath days? Or are the players from, for example, Iran, all sufficiently flexible that they can schedule games around any Friday restrictions or daily prayer regimens?
Suppose Israel ended up sending a team sometime? Or would it only be a problem if the Cup managed to overlap some high holiday, you know, the kind where you have to think hard about whether you’re supposed to turn on the stove burner?
