Well that sucks. So I basically wasted my time working on Exalted rep with the AD. (Though I guess I still need it, along with Exalted with the Argent Crusade if I want to get the meta-achievement. Do I need Exalted with both to get the Argent Crusade tabard?) Then again, I got most of that rep questing in Scholomance/Stratholme while working on Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms.
No, you can get Northrend tabards at Friendly.
That’s because the rep mechanism has changed for content in Wrath. The dungeons in Northrend give rep for the faction whose tabard you wear into them. If you wear an Ebon Blade tabard while doing Northrend dungeons, you’ll gain Ebon Blade rep, etc.
Geeze, I forgot how fun doing battlegrounds was. I invested about 500g into getting some of the Frostsavage set, and did some Strand of the Ancients today, and then Wintergrasp. I started the day with about 1,000 honor points from a long long time ago. I now have about 13,000!
Am I correct, though, that the SotA marks of honor aren’t used for anything at this time? I checked out WoWhead and that seems to be the case. Ah well, it’s still fun and I’m racking up the double honor!
Of course you may, Nava! And thanks for the Armory info!
And aruvqan, thank you! That would be great! I have a couple of other Doper friends who are also on my friends list and I will add you ASAP!
Going there now, matter of fact!
My wife has allowed me 30 minutes to battle. I’d stay longer, but have an early wake-up time in the morning.
Plus, if I sit at the computer too long, it makes my ankles swell, which really pisses ger off, because she’s worried about DVT:(
Need to get in some Horde time too, I know. I’ll be there more often when I am able…
Thanks, Kids!

I’m just kinda ticked that there is apparently no “reward” for grinding to Exalted with AD. Well, okay, it allows me to mindlessly grind for tokens that I can then exchange for various items that are useless to me at this point. I just figured the tabard would be kind of a simple “I did it!” reward. I mean, c’mon, Exalted gets me a tabard for the friggin’ Sporeggar, but not the Argent Dawn?
Speaking of those Northrend rep tabards, I’ve had no luck actually finding where to pick any of them up, aside from the Kirin Tor tabard. I’ve done a number of quests for the Sons of Hodir, but I haven’t located their guy who hands out the tabards. It’s not the guy labeled “Quartermaster”, anyway.
There is no tabard for Sons of Hodir. You have to grind the dailies.
Northrend tabards:
Wyrmrest Accord from Cielstrazsa (quartermaster) in Wyrmrest Temple.
Argent Crusade from the AC quartermaster at Argent Vanguard.
Ebon Blade from Duchess Mynx in the Shadow Vault.
Kirin Tor from Archmage Alvareaux in Dalaran.
All of these require you to be Friendly with their faction first.
All of the Argent Tournament faction-specific tabards are available at the Argent Tournament. You must be a Champion for the faction you want to purchase first.
That explains it. I thought I saw them listed as having a “rep tabard” somewhere.
You get a title if you’re exalted with both AD and Argent Crusade. You got to remember that this is old content, back in vanilla there were barely any utility rewards for rep grinds and the only vanity rewards were the other races’ epic mounts, and those grinds were hard.
They are used for the repeatable quest to turn in one of each battleground marks for extra honor. You get the quest from a NPC near the battlemasters (the guys who were used to queue up for battlegrounds). For Alliance, it’s Alliance Brigadier General and the quest is called Concerted Efforts.
Exalted with all four goblin factions now. Revered with Sha’tar, Zandalar and Netherwing. Those three (when complete) will get me to 35 exalted factions, after which the grind to “The Exalted” becomes much more extreme.
I spent last night questing in Un’Goro and found it quite a blast, managed to ding a level in just over 2 hours play too which was nice. Only issue was a very annoying drop rate on those walking flowers. You didn’t tell me it had giant wasps though! I can battle undead, wolves, ogres in fact just about anything without being scared but as soon as I see a wasp I am immediately defensive and trying to avoid them.
Anyone else get this feeling fighting bugs?
I take it you haven’t been to Silithus yet
When people ask what my DPS is, I tell them I don’t know.
It can vary depending on raid buffs, whatever resist/immunity/whatever the mobs have, whether I am doing a tank n spank where I can stand still and cast, or have to keep moving etc. Besides, I just don’t feel like running simulators and spreadsheets all the time.
500 gold on Frostsavage? Good grief. I was making it and vendoring it, just so I could level up my tailoring.
Nope what level range is that?
I bought my main fancy new bags. The netherweave ones just weren’t doing it for her anymore.
Several of my guildies have been doing PUGs lately because they can’t find enough guildies of the appropriate level to run various instances. This has led to some goofy groups–like the one consisting of a warlock who didn’t use his pet, a death knight wearing gear with +Intellect and +Spirit, the hunter who kept Aspect of the Viper up all the time and couldn’t understand why his damage was so much lower, and the weak tank who then proceeded to berate my guildie (a frost mage) about the stupidity of her spec.
Mind you, that was all the same PUG early Sunday afternoon. No, wait, the death knight was in a different one. The healer of the PUG described above was apparently the only one who wasn’t a goober. I forgot him because my guildie didn’t complain about him.
50-60. It was one of the top-end non-instanced zones back when the level cap was 60, along with Winterspring, Eastern Plaguelands and the Blasted Lands.
I have a friend who absolutely refuses to go to two of the Northrend instances. No Dragonblight instances with her. At all. Period. If you ever see one of her characters there, it’s her husband at the wheel.
While she does go to Drak’Tharon Keep, she stays outside the room with the spiders in it until the rest of us have cleaned it.
