World of Warcraft General Discussion

Thanks for the tip I didn’t think I could cast anything when that was going on, Holy Shock spam it is then.

Does anyone know of a list of level requirements for each dungeon as used by the dungeon finder? My google-fu has let me down.

Also what is the actual quest that shows the Wrathgate cinematic? Currently I am plying without sound for 90% of the time but I want to make sure I have sound for that.

Thanks.

Yeah. It’s really funny when I’m healing Nexus. Druids have a lot of instant cast heaing spells, so being tossed around really doesn’t matter to me.

This list should be accurate.

Return To Angrathar. The movie will play when you turn in the quest. You’ll know when it’s time to turn on your sound, as you’ll be in the camp overlooking the gate. It’s an epic vista before the epic cutscene.

Also, if for some reason you don’t have sound when you get there, you can always have the cutscene replayed by talking to a nearby NPC after the fact and asking “What happened here?”

Unfortunately not as I know that at least Ragefire is wrong (it starts at 15 using the DF) and that wowwiki page says:

“Note that the level range required to use the Dungeon Finder may differ from the recommended level range.”

Thanks.

Sorry, I missed that. I was in a hurry this morning.

Woo, Putricide down on 10-man last night!

We had a frustrating evening–our server had major lag, and at several points right after we killed Saurfang, various members of our raid were lagged out, unable to log back in, etc. We almost called it, but forged ahead because there wasn’t another time we could all get back together this week. Good thing we did, too: one shotted Rotface and Festergut (both of whom we’d killed already last week) and Putricide was a one-shot as well!

That’s a fun fight. I am glad they fixed it so the slime puddles don’t grow while the group is stunned, though. That was a little much.

Oh, and after that we headed off to do the weekly raid quest (Which was XT on our server)–and I got the achievement for “Must Deconstruct Faster.” It’s amazing how fast old XT went down when faced with a group mostly in 2 piece T10.

Going back to some stuff I posted earlier…

And whaddayaknow, looked at the AH again last night and there it was for about 1300g :smack:

Anyway, blew another 2500g or so on the Titanium Spikeguards. Enchanted them with +15 Expertise and socketed a +20 STR gem. I’ll upgrade the enchant as soon as I learn a better one.

Interestingly, I’ve recently encountered no fewer than three dwarf questgivers who use “holed/holing up” correctly, so apparently somebody at Blizzard understands the term

Anyway …

I really am having fun with my troll hunter - he’s dinged level 30 (/played 1 day, 21 hours) already. He’s a skinner/miner, and I’m discovering his server has a really lousy market for Light Leather, though. Fortunately he’s getting a lot of Medium and Heavy Leather now.

Did a /played on my human pally: 52 days, 9 hours, 1 minute, 57 seconds; almost exactly half of that time has been at level 80: 26 days, 2 hours, 17 minutes, 13 seconds. She should hit Exalted with Knights of the Ebon Blade today, and Wyrmrest Accord by the end of the week. Any further rep will spill over to Explorer’s League and The Frostborn, I suppose. I’m Honored with both of those, less than 300 away from Revered with the Explorer’s League. Then I’ll be Exalted with every NR faction except the Frenzyheart. I suppose now that I’ve got everything I want out of my Oracle rep, I should go back and work on Frenzyheart rep, but I don’t really have the urge to do so ATM.

Note that if you have any of the Oracles gear equipped (the trinket, say), you will no longer be able to use it if you switch to the Frenzyhearts.

Good to know. I do have the trinket. Thanks

Does that include the drake if you have it?

I only have like 6 quests to do in HP, and a couple of those require “friends” in addition to conquering the Hellfire Fortifications, so I may decide to leave those for a while, go to Shattrath City (where I have already aquired one quest) and come back later to do some clean-up.

Also, I have captured 2 of 3 Fels-Cannons, so I will also finish up that quest before I leave.

I didn’t know me and my gryph could be attacked from the ground, either!

Thanks

Q (level 63)

No, once you get the drake, it’s yours.

I THINK that you generally you’re invisible to most mobs when you’re flying, but that opposite-faction cities/outposts can “see” you and try to shoot you down.

As far as being done with Hellfire, have you gone to see the draenei in the temple all the way over on the west side of the zone? And there’s an outpost of neutral druids right across the road from the big stone giants a little farther west than the temple. They ALL have quests.

I figured that but you never know.

Done the quests for the temple, jay, but haven’t gone further west than that. I’ll check it out.

BTW, just got clobbered in Broken Hill by two Hordes with pets. I thought they’d be nice, but noooooo, they double-teamed me when it was apparent I would take one of them (a 62 elf). Learned my lesson.

Over in Shattrath, I chose the guys whose names begin with A over the Scryers to ally myself with. That’s kind of a weird one, fighting over which group gets to be A’dal’s fighting force…

Q

jay are you talking about Zangamarsh (The Cenarion Outpost?)? I didn’t see anything else further west that’s HP-related.

Q

Nah. It’s in the Hellfire Peninsula, just a little tiny tent. There are a bunch of big spiky giant guys to the north (and a big ol’ crystal), then a path, then just south is the tent full o’ druids. Further southwest is a city full of demons and stuff.

Good night last night. Smacked down Telestra quickly enough to get the Split Personality achievement, and then right after went to the Oculus, AGAIN and talked everyone into going against Eregos without the Amber drakes to get the Amber Void achievement, and then Kah/Reins talked me into doing the 10man weekly which was way too easy…Noth the Plaguebringer. Those extra 5 frosts put me over the top to get Might of the Ocean Serpent, which in turn equipped it and finally got my Epic achievement. I owe Kahmu some titanium ore.

I’m slowly making my way up the ranks in gear and puttin’ on the hurt.

You can’t see it well from the road. If you come out of the temple back to the main road and start west, keep an eye to your left. There’ll be rocks, then a large clear area, then a big rock. Go on the other side of the big rock and there should be questgivers there.
