What class are you again?
78 Druid, presently dual-specced eclipse Moonkin/AOE Resto.
Ah, dang. I was hoping for an easy answer with a pet class.
I’m not sure, then.
That’s alright, I logged in today and I was able to loot everything without issue. I’ll chalk it up to a weird porting/gryphoning bug.
They did do a rolling restart of the realms around 7:00 am pacific time this morning to address what the message called ‘playability issues’, so maybe they were dealing with some bugs of that nature.
Sounds like you had the dreaded Loot Lag. I’ve had it a few times and while it sounds like it happens much less than it used to it still occurs. Reconnecting almost always fixes the problem.
You can, unless there’s a quest chain needed to unlock the FM. (In Wintergarde, you have to do a small quest chain in order to access the town’s NPCs, which I believe includes the FM. So you might be able to fly *to *but not from.)
Right-click on QH map icon → Priority → Lowest.
… Were you using your treants to do all the damage to the mobs?
Nope. The problem went away when I relogged in. No biggie, just was curious.
You know, I knew that. :smack:
Had a weird one last night. There was only one of my guildmates logged in, and he whispered me asking if I could get in the guild bank or could I spare 25g. I was feeling wealthy and generous, so I went ahead and mailed him 25g. I don’t know what he wanted it for, but ten minutes after gushingly thanking me, he quit the guild. Strange.
I’m considering starting my own guild, but haven’t decided if it’s worth the effort of collecting signatures. I don’t suppose nine of you would be willing to create a toon on Lightbringer just to sign a petition for me?
There’s just hardly ever anybody online in my current guild. At least I don’t recall ever seeing more than five of us on at one time. There are well over 100 names on the roster, and I’m starting to suspect that maybe the guild only has 10 players and all the other names are those players’ alts or something. I’d also like to be able to pick a more thematically-appropriate guild name. I got into a conversation with another paladin the other day after he commented on my current guild’s name (“DARK ELITE”, complete with all caps), asking what was up with all these Alliance guilds with “dark” or “evil” or what-have-you in their names. I agreed with him, adding my thoughts as to why, in a world where demons are a common enemy to both the Alliance and Horde, anybody would think “Satan’s Elite” or “Bloody Demonic Legion” are cool or appropriate guild names. I’d like a more “heroic” name. Maybe I’ll just petition to join this “Lightbringers” guild I’ve seen running around. Sounds like a good guild for a paladin to join. On the other hand, I was fooling around with the tabard designer and came up with a tabard I really liked. You don’t see too many yellow tabards, for some reason.
Mister Rik,
1.) I’d be happy to roll an alt to help you out. Drop me a PM here if you decide to buy the charter so I know who to whisper. If you can’t find nine of us to come sign, you should get quick results offering 5g per signature (which folks you may then boot as you see fit once the guild is official).
2.) /ginfo will tell you how many **accounts **are in your guild, as well as how many characters. (Also the date it was founded.)
3.) My Horde alts on ET are in a guild that used to have a yellow tabard… because it matched the GM’s PvP set.
4.) On starting your own versus joining an existing guild… It’s going to come down to a combination of a bunch of factors. Do you enjoy having a strong support structure of other players? Do you prefer a close-knit group? Are there friends who would join a guild if you made it? Do you think you’d enjoy administrating a guild (everything from getting to decide policies to straightening out tedious disputes between members)? Are any of your friends in guilds that sound like people you’d enjoy playing with? Would you consider transferring servers to join the guild of a friend who’s on a different one? Have you tried advertising for a guild to join on your realm’s forum?
I can create a baby alt on your servers if you will create one on mine so I can create a guild also =)
If we can come up with a total of 10 people willing to help each other out it would be great=) I actually have access to 2 accounts, so there are 2 sigs right off =)
Oh yeah, there are two more accounts I have access to, too. So I’d probably be good for three signatures.
Coolness
I haven’t firmly decided to do this yet, but if I do successfully get the guild created, how do I go about inviting my alts? I don’t think you can mail invitations.
On another note, and I can’t believe it took me this long to notice, but today my undead mage was entering Undercity and I realized I had seen that empty throneroom in the Ruins of Lordaeron before:
It’s one of the early cinematics from WarCraft III.
Actually, if you turn your ambient sound all the way up and your music all the way down, then walk from the fallen bell through the courtyard to the throne room, you will hear the whole soundtrack of that cinematic, from the tolling of the bell to the cheering of the crowds to the dialogue of that scene. For the dialogue, either stand on the seal or right next to the throne. Also, notice a suspicious dark brown stain on the floor…
Ding, World Explorer meta.
Congrats!
Cool, I never noticed the sound. Probably because I normally play with my volume low 'cause I often play late at night.
Remind me where the stain came from - was that from when Arthas murdered his father (been a while since I played through the WCIII storyline)?
Also, I looked up in the bell tower and saw there’s another bell still up there, precariously balanced. The UC government oughtta get that thing down - somebody could get hurt!
/cheer!
I’m kinda sorta working on that myself.
