World of Warcraft General Discussion

Your ability to destroy your enemies quickly is your greatest defense as a Rogue. As such, you want to prioritize stats that will help you kill faster, which are Attack Power, Agility, and Strength. Armor and Stamina are nice, but not necessary. And since you’re a Rogue and have no mana, Intellect is worse than useless, since you not only can’t use it but it takes the place of useful stats.

  1. Sar’Theris Strand, but it’s underwater. You can do it without a breathing elixir because there are little bubbly places you can swim to that fill up your health. Don’t forget to poke a trainer, they tell you where you can bring up your lockpicking.

I will never begrudge a buff, but automatically buffing a Rogue with intellect at the start of a dungeon? I shake my head. Is it okay to ask for Kings? I never ask for buffs because I’m an awkward introvert who doesn’t want to impose.

The mage’s Arcane Brilliance buff, unlike the paladin’s blessings, hits everybody in the party with one cast. So either everybody gets it, or nobody gets it  It provides exactly the same buff as Arcane Intellect, except that it hits everybody at once and lasts 60 min. instead of 30, and the icon is very similar (the electric blue eyeball thingy).

Now, if you’re talking about a paladin giving your rogue Blessing of Wisdom (the blue and gold cross in a circle), then yeah, that makes no sense.
Stuff I notice running instances on my mage that I just never noticed on my paladin: Forge of Souls boss Bronjahm - Godfather of Souls

BWAH-HA-HA-HA-HA!

I mean, I’d seen him drop Papa’s Brand New Bag, but I’d just never noticed his tooltip “title” :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes. It is always ok to ask for useful buffs in an instance. It is not hard to click or press a button and it makes the instance go by quicker/easier in the long run if they do so. Not sure how to get past the awkward introvert part, though. Maybe make an extremely polite macro that just says in party chat what you would like for buffs if they don’t buff you? That’s all I got.

It’s fine to ask, but a Rogue gets far more use out of Blessing of Might than Blessing of Kings. Stamina, Intellect, and Spirit are basically unnecessary for a grouped Rogue, and even 10% more Strength and Agility together won’t get you anywhere near as much Attack Power as Might can give you. Kings is a little better for PVP, since everyone can use Stamina in PVP.

How would one get there from let’s say Tanaris?

Sar’Theris Strandis off the coast of Desolace. The lockboxes are underwater up in the northwestern portion.

Thanks for the info I can now pick again

As you can see, someone took a big chunk of gold out of the bank vault.

My mistake, I guess, because I had made her an officer and heretofore only jaejae and badlilsis were officers and I had set their withdrawal limit at unlimited, and I forgot to limit hers.

I was promoting at level 20, but this player had advanced very quickly and I wanted to reward that effort.

I have since set her limit at 25 g’s a day explaining that the gold isn’t infinite and I wanted others to be able to use it.

Am I being played?

Either way, I’m not making any more deposits for a while.

Thanks

Q

Hmm. Went to both places jayjay but although I am being allowed to skin, my skill level’s not increasing (like when it appears in blue that I’ve added a point?).

Thanks

Q

PS: No wonder! I’m at 150/150! Sorry, my bad.

Don’t know if you’re being played, but I’m kind of baffled how one person could have a 99g repair bill all in one go, unless she’s level 80 already and wearing top-end gear, and died about 5 times in a raid. I’ve died up to three times in one Heroic dungeon and only come out of it with, at most, a 30g repair bill.

It wasn’t marked “for repairs” that time, Mister Rik. The previous one was, however.

She’s left the guild, by the way.

Before she left, she asked if I had any “true-bar silver”. I don’t know WITF that shit is, but I know I don’t have it and that’s what I told her, whereupon she told me how badly she needed it and how expensive it is to buy.

Sometimes I feel like if you look up the word “naive” in the dictionary, my picture appears in the def.

I’m just really trying to pay it all forward. All the help I get here and all the help I get from the very nice folks I meet in-game.

So I guess she took the money and ran, huh?

Q

Truesilver Bars - miners can mine Truesilver and then smelt it into bars. And yeah, it’s expensive, because it’s rare.

Yep. :frowning:

If you really want to allow people to withdraw money and items from the bank you may want to consider limiting to 5 gold a day and 5-10 items until they’ve proven that they are also willing to contribute to guild. Then slowly increase their rank and allowances.

There is nothing wrong with doing this Quasi. But as in real life there are those that will not think twice about taking advantage of your kindness.

Woo! Finally got our 25-man Frost Wyrms! Neck Deep in Vile was our last achievement, and it was definitely more of a pain in the ass than I thought it would be, but thankfully we got it done. Now onto Heroic LK!

50% towards 76 now, but I fly to Turkey on Friday for a week’s holiday, so no WoW for that week! Just got the Violet Hold for the 1st time. Man is that dungeon easy on standard 5 man. Don’t even have to go anywhere.

Of course, now that I am trying DPS every other drop is a nice tank plate or shield. I have been waiting for the actual tank to roll, then if he don’t want it I have roilled Need. Is this within usual etiquette?

Depends a bit on which bosses you get, but yes VH is one of the easier instances. Although in the early days of Wotlk the etheral boss’s teleport was kind of an instant wipe on heroic.

As long as you actually intend to use it, it’s perfectly fine, if someone has a problem with you rolling for off-spec when no one needs it for main-spec, then that someone is being a greedy ass.

Good good. Definitely use the stuff, as even when I am dungeoning in DPS mode, I still quest in prot mode as otherwise I get tired of having to eat all the time, whereas in prot tank mode I take very little damage. My wife plays a mage character and she gets really jealous when I end up meleeing against 8 or more at level mobs and just grind them down with health to spare.

All bets are off if there are 2 + magic using mobs that don’t have the decency to stand close together!

Hey Quasi! You’ll be happy to know I logged in Badlilsister and got her to level 11 [del]tonight[/del] very early this morning

Check out her new dress - it’s teh sexx0rz :stuck_out_tongue:
