World of Warcraft, the tabletop board game.

I just played my first full game of the WoW board game, and I have to say that it was more fun than I’ve had in a long time.

I think the target audience is pen-and-paper RPGers, but the few times I tried to play tabletop RPGs I didn’t have any fun. I think it’s more suited for strategy gamers who like risk, warhammer, and stratego.

Has anyone else played this game yet? What did you think? We had 3 players in the game I played, with myself and a friend playing horde vs. his girlfriend playing 2 alliance characters. We used a total of 4 characters, so I can’t comment much about the game balance, except to say that the warrior seemed underpowered, and rogue and hunter seemed really, really strong.

Anyway, if you have a friend that owns this game, you should definitely give it a try. Make sure you have 4-5 hours for your first game, and try to get 6 people together. The game works for anywhere between 2-6 players, but one player will have to control 2 characters if you use an odd number of players.
