I occasionally watch the overnight news on TV and they usually give the the World Temperature. This figure is something like 458 or some unusually high number. What does this mean? How is it calulated, how is it used ( scientific rersearch?) or just a number to make those of us who don’t understand just feel dumb? Any help with this question will be gratfully received. I have tried to find this in the thread archive and nothing came up. This has been bugging me since heard it but have been unable to find any information on it. Thanks for the help.
Do you mean the National Temperature Index on World News Now, by any chance? If so I believe it’s been established as a joke. (It’s pretty clear from that link, actually.)
