World War II City Projects

Having sought but not found, I’m hoping someone here has a clue, or even a reference.

We all know about the Manhattan Project, which produced the atomic bomb.

We’ve heard of the Philadelphia Experiment, which has all sorts of urban legends associated with it and which may have simply been part of the Manhattan Project ((see this) – I haven’t had time to follow up on this.)

What was the name of the THIRD “City Project”? Even Cecil doesn’t mention it in his column on the Philadelphia Experiment. Also, what was its focus?

It’s a secret.

Still? I’d have thought it would be declassified by now. Unless Spider Robinson is right and they’ve developed a Tesla Death Ray.

Seriously, though, we’ve heard about the 3 City Projects. I’m now wondering if we ever had more than one, since “The Philadelphia Experiment” seems to be pretty much an urban legend.

I think my question list has expanded.
[li]What was the name of the third City Project?[/li][li]Was there ever actually more than one (being the Manhattan project)?
Can my local librarian answer either question?
[/li]I’m going to find out the answer to the last question, at least.

I’m trying to think of a city name that ends in “-gry” …

There are several things that aren’t declassified yet from the war. I remember at one time seeing some TV show that said “many of them will become declassified 100 years after their classification date”… or something like that. So, I would say we have at least 40 more years for some of the stuff.
