When will the next world fair be, and how often are they held? Are they ever outside the US? Who organizes these things?

According to the International Bureau of Exhibitions, the next scheduled World’s Fair will be in Seine-Saint-Denis, France in 2004, followed by Aichi, Japan in 2005.

There are a couple of Horticultural Exhibitions in the Netherlands (2002) and Germany (2003).
